ABOUT YOUR SMALL GUIDED GROUP TOUR
On a guided group tour, a driver and a guide will accompany you and your fellow travellers on an adventure in Norway. You’ll follow a set itinerary, going on walks, excursions and sometimes dining together as a group.
You’ll benefit from your guide’s in-depth knowledge along the way. We carefully select guides with years of experience that come highly recommended. They’ll share with you their love of Norway, stories and historical knowledge as well as recommendations.
You’ll travel by minibus and the group is capped at 16 people so you can enjoy a more personal experience.
The guide will also be there for you if you need anything during the tour. Plus, you’ll have access to our 24/7 helpline during your trip should you need to contact us.
ACCOMMODATION
On your guided group tour, you’ll stay in accommodation that’s been hand-picked by our Norway travel experts. We’ve partnered with local businesses and selected hotels and guesthouses based on excellent ratings, comfort and our personal experience.
You can view the detailed list of hotels for this trip under the accommodation tab.
During the booking steps, you can choose a single or double room. Triple rooms are not available for this tour. If your group contains 3 or more people, please contact us for booking assistance.
Please note that in Norway room types are based on European standard sizes, which means they are smaller than in North America.
LUGGAGE INFORMATION
To make sure you and your fellow travellers have a comfortable journey, we need to limit the size and amount of luggage in the bus.
Each guest can bring one suitcase or large bag that can be stored in the back of the minibus and one smaller item (like a small backpack) to keep inside the van for daily essentials like camera, wallet, medications, etc.
Unfortunately carry-on suitcases (cabin bags with wheels) are too large to store in the van’s overhead racks. We request that you make arrangements to store your extra luggage in Bergen during the guided portion of the tour.
If you have any questions about luggage your Nordic Visitor travel consultant will be able to assist you.
HURTIGRUTEN CRUISE FROM TRONDHEIM TO BERGEN
To travel from Trondheim to Bergen, you will board an overnight cruise with Hurtigruten. Departure from Trondheim will be at 10 AM with check-in from 9 AM. On board the cruise ship you will stay in a cabin with sea view, including a private toilet and shower facilities.
From the ship, you will be able to enjoy views of the beautiful Norwegian coastline during the day. At night, there will be entertainment inside. Dinner will be at your leisure at one of the restaurants on board.
The next day, breakfast and lunch are included. Arrival in Bergen is planned for 2:30 PM.
